Concentration, Integration, Innovation and Development- Outdoor Team Building Activity

In order to improve communication among departments, enhance centripetal force and cohesiveness, and cultivate innovative and explorative spirit of employees, an outdoor team building activity was held in Tongli Town, Suzhou City, from June 29th to June 30^th with the theme of“Concentration, Integration, Innovation and Development”. All the employees including Mr. Gu Zihua, general manager, participated in this activity planned and organized by a professional company.

By a unique grouping way via psychological testing, all people were divided into 6 groups in which different personality types were included. Consistent to scientific logic and relatively fair to some extent, this grouping way could overcome personal psychological and emotional obstacles and make it easier for the people from different departments to know each other.

Three programs were organized and executed successfully in this team building, The Great Navigating Era, The Kingsman and The Nazca Lines.

The Great Navigating Era was mainly emphasized to enhance effective communication and execution of team members, The Kingsman was planned to improve internal collaboration and exploring spirit of the teams. And the Nazca Lines was mainly to strengthen communication and collaboration between teams.

In spite of raining in Day One, every member was fully engaged in the two programs with great enthusiasm.  Competing and racing, everyone wanted to win. Eventually every task was successfully accomplished by the sweating efforts.

 In Day two, for the Nazca Lines, The task was that the company's logo and different images had to be painted on a giant canvas by 6 teams together in a certain time. Every team and every member communicated and discussed effectively, worked harmoniously and collaborated closely. By the painting, everyone not just completed the task but also put the feelings about company onto the canvas. Finally, all the team were excited and proud upon the presenting of the giant painting when it accomplished.

With the slogan of Concentration, Integration, Innovation and Development., the team building activity was successfully concluded with applause and cheering.

Several tips come up for this activity:

A powerful leader is the key of success for a team in that he can deeply understand the goal and intentions of the task, develop the best plan by collecting and analyzing all the ideas and execute it on time by putting everyone in the right place and encouraging them.

Communication and collaboration for a team is of great importance. Without mutual cooperation, complementary advantages, and joint efforts, the goal is difficult to achieve. Every member is indispensible.

Challenging oneself and positive innovation are the key to success for anyone. Difficulties are real, and overcoming yourself and maximizing your potential is the first step to success.

Effective collaboration between the company's teams is the key to achieving company goals and bright future. In the Nazca Lines project, we could see that even if 5 teams completed the task perfectly while a team did not, an imperfect work will be presented. A company is running in the same way. To realize a long-term plan, it is necessary that every department and every member should fulfill every individual duty thoroughly and work together collabatively.
